In 2020 Le Groupe Kehilla Montréal I, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Kehilla Montréal Residential Programs completed construction on Kehilla 1, a beautiful 68-unit, 10 story residential building in Cote Saint Luc, central to schools, public transportation, and services.
Built to the highest standards, Kehilla Montreal’s first mixed-income housing project is comprised of one, two and three-bedroom apartments with a community room on the ground floor which is available to tenants for their programming needs. The new building offers 34 rent subsidized units where tenants pay 25% of their monthly income towards rent; the tenants of the remaining 34 units pay rent that is substantially below market value.
The first of many such initiatives, Kehilla 1 stands as a testament to KMRP’s ongoing mission to provide 1,000 low-rent apartments for vulnerable Montrealers over the next 10 years.
